Pride and Prejudice and Zombies!

Seriously cannot wait for this book!

The story opens with a mysterious plague falling upon the quiet English village of Meryton—and the dead are returning to life! Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is determined to wipe out the zombie menace, but she’s soon distracted by the arrival of the haughty and arrogant Mr. Darcy. What ensues is a delightful comedy of manners with plenty of civilized sparring between the two young lovers—and even more violent sparring on the blood-soaked battlefield as Elizabeth wages war against hordes of flesh-eating undead.

Quick! Book Colin Firth & Keira Knightly!

25 Random Things About Me

Made the effort in writing this in Facebook. Thought I publish here as well. :)

1. I was supposed to be named Bruno before my mom shoved the 'Baby Names Book' to my dad's face.
2. My grandfather bought me a blue BMX bike when I was 2 days old. Apparently, I was that big back then.
3. I chipped my front tooth when I decided that the 2 foot kiddie pool needed an Olympic diving champion. I was 11.
4. Our house helper claims I was possessed one summer afternoon when I was 13. Allegedly, I woke from my afternoon nap bent on rearranging some of the living room furniture. I found this funny until she used the words 'upturn' and 'flinging' in retelling the incident.
5. I was the lyricist of our high school graduation song. Actually, it was more like translating 14k's 'Yesterday's Dream' to Filipino. Seeing my name credited in graduation program made mom's day nonetheless.
6. I was big fried rice fan when I was in my teens. I can eat a family serving in one sitting without anything else.
7. I had a number of pets growing up. I get attached to them a bit and, sometimes, I get nightmares of their last moments with me when I am away from home. Angus, my uncle's dog, got hit on the head by a burglar trying enter our grandparents' home. Soda, our golden retriever, had to be put to sleep when he contracted heart worms when my dad left him with a friend. Guang Xi, a stray cat my sister adopted, got very lonely and sick when my sister went on a weekend vacation to Ilocos Norte. Finally, Taski, a tabby street cat who one day decided that my lap is the best place on earth to sleep on, came home one last time to check up on me after being away for so long just this December. He left that night and never came back.
8. I never liked arguments especially between two people I am fond of. Not in movies, not on the phone, not in real life. I'll change the channel. I'll go on hold. I'll walk away.
9. I am really, really bad with names. Please don't take it personally if I forget your name. Just give me a minute. After a minute, you need to tell me your name as I am probably already apologizing profusely for not remembering.
10. I was never really academically good. I was always being tagged to have potential. Until now, I'm still not sure if I have realized that. Maybe I'm a mutant of some sort.
11. I am a gadget freak. I am told that I am now more into collecting than into actually using.
12. My cellphone is not my friend. The internet is. I am almost always online.
13. When you see me all quiet and reserved, it is probably because I am either sick or with someone I really, really like.
14. I love mysteries and almost anything about the unknown. I consider metaphysics, parapsychology and the occult good bedtime reading. I have Mulder and Scully in my speed dial.
15. I have a lot of interests. Talk to me about something obscure or really out there and I would have probably goggled about it already at some point.
16. I didn't play tennis until I was 24. Now, I couldn't imagine myself not playing. I would be playing right now if I wasn't still in #16 of my list.
17. I am a hobby writer. I was looking forward to taking up Journalism in college until my high school career assessment exam result told me that I was good in logic and applied math.
18. I was a hardcore programmer back in college and in my first few years at work. I can still remember smirking was when I was able to design a BOM explosion/implosion report using recursion in ABAP.
19. I do not have the eye in choosing clothes for myself. Leave me in a department store and I'll probably end up buying ill-fitted jeans and yet another stripped polo t-shirt.
20. I really don't understand why people hate it when I buy stuff from SURPLUS.
21. There was a time that I always win the first game in bingo.
22. I listen to a lot of podcasts. I follow most of the original guys from the old TechTV.
23. I, too, am a firm believer that doing nothing is so underrated.
24. I have a thing for being early though I don't take it against people when they're late.
25. To me, nothing is too personal. If we, at least, already shared a meal together, you can probably ask me anything.
